The Lost & Found Bar & Grill, our open air beachfront restaurant, has established a reputation for excellent Jamaican and American cuisine at a reasonable price. Our bar is well stocked and ready to prepare your favorite umbrella drink or simply serve you a cold beer and some friendly conversation. For those who plan to actually use their kitchenette, we have a small onsite grocery/party store/gift shop with all the emergency items (like peanut butter and jelly and beer, and t-shirts of course ) and there are large, full service groceries in Negril, Little London, and Sav-La-Mar depending on what you are looking for. Of course, fresh fish and lobster (seasonally) can be purchased from our local fishermen right on the beach!

The Welch Family has been coming to Jamaica since the 1970s they love the rich culture, friendly people, delicious food, and tropical climate that they found here. While trying to look at some land for sale almost two decades ago, Steven got hopelessly lost on the rough back roads that were more like goat tracks no, really, the roads are waaay better now ! He asked a young man walking along the road where he could find the land that was for sale. He was told that the land right in front of him was for sale, and this is what is now known as Lost Beach! Of course, this was not the piece of ground Steven had originally been looking for - it was much nicer and he bought it! Steven was lost when he found the perfect property, hence the name Lost Beach Resort. Steven is a licensed builder in Michigan, so Steven and Elizabeth designed and built the resort themselves. That young man who helped Steven on the road is Picky, the (now retired) Building Supervisor for Lost Beach, who helped the Welchs build the resort literally bucket by bucket of concrete. The lovely gardens at Lost Beach are filled with plants and flowers found at the Black River Flower Show held annually every Easter Monday, as well as from the local yards and farms. The furniture is handcrafted by locals of Jamaican Blue Mahor, Jamaicas national tree. The resort is staffed by locals and in every way the Welchs have tried to make Lost Beach Resort a place where guests can comfortably experience the real Jamaica that they fell in love with so long ago.
You will need to catch a ride on your favorite air carrier to Montego Bays Sangster International Airport. We can arrange round trip airport transfers for you if you so choose, and whisk you away to Lost Beach where a cold Red Stripe and/or umbrella drink and a hammock await you. We hope to see you soon!
