Guests can paddle east to the ‘scary’ river where mangroves rule and small crocodiles have been spotted – here young Jamaican entrepreneurs set their home-made traps for ‘river swims’ (crayfish). Or paddle west to see the beautiful, unspoiled shoreline – keep your eyes peeled for the old barges that washed ashore in 1988.
